At Fluid Junction, we strive to provide exceptional makeup services and customer satisfaction. We understand that circumstances may arise that necessitate cancellations or require refunds. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds are provided for our services.

By booking our services, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy. Please read this policy carefully to understand our refund procedures and your rights and obligations.

Refund Policy for Service Deposits

Bridal Makeup Services

For bridal makeup services, we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service cost to secure your booking. This deposit is subject to the following conditions:

  • Cancellations more than 30 days before the event: 50% of your deposit will be refunded.
  • Cancellations between 14-30 days before the event: 25% of your deposit will be refunded.
  • Cancellations less than 14 days before the event: No refund will be issued for the deposit.

Special Event Makeup Services

For special event makeup services, we require a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total service cost to secure your booking. This deposit is subject to the following conditions:

  • Cancellations more than 14 days before the event: Full refund of your deposit.
  • Cancellations between 7-14 days before the event: 50% of your deposit will be refunded.
  • Cancellations less than 7 days before the event: No refund will be issued for the deposit.

Makeup Lessons and Regular Appointments

For makeup lessons and regular appointments, we require a deposit of £25 to secure your booking. This deposit is subject to the following conditions:

  • Cancellations more than 48 hours before the appointment: Full refund of your deposit.
  • Cancellations less than 48 hours before the appointment: No refund will be issued for the deposit.

Conditions for Full Refunds

Full refunds of the total amount paid (including deposits) may be issued under the following circumstances:

  • Service Cancellation by Fluid Junction: If we are unable to provide the scheduled service due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to artist illness, emergency, or scheduling conflicts.
  • Significant Service Issues: If there were significant issues with the service provided that were reported immediately during or immediately after the service and could not be remedied at the time.
  • Allergic Reactions During Trial: If you experience an allergic reaction during a trial makeup session, and we are unable to use alternative products suitable for your skin.

Please note that for any of the above situations, we reserve the right to offer a rescheduled appointment as an alternative to a refund where possible and appropriate.

Refund Process and Timeframes

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  2. Include your name, booking date, service type, and reason for the refund request.
  3. Provide any relevant documentation or information that supports your refund request.

Once we receive your refund request, we will:

  1. Review your request within 3 business days.
  2. Notify you of our decision by email or phone.
  3. Process approved refunds within 10 business days of approval.

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method that was used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed. Please note that depending on your payment method and financial institution, it may take additional time for the refunded amount to appear in your account.

Rescheduling Policy

As an alternative to cancellation and refund, we offer rescheduling options, subject to availability:

  • Bridal Services: Rescheduling requests must be made at least 30 days before the original date to avoid penalties. One reschedule is permitted without penalty, subject to availability.
  • Special Event Services: Rescheduling requests must be made at least 14 days before the original date to avoid penalties.
  • Regular Appointments: Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the original appointment time to avoid penalties.

Rescheduling outside of these timeframes may result in additional fees or forfeiture of deposits, treated the same as cancellations in the respective service categories.

Non-Refundable Items and Services

The following items and services are non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Services that have been fully completed and accepted at the time of service
  • False eyelashes or other disposable items that have been used
  • Travel fees for services provided at your location, if the artist has already traveled to the location
  • Late arrival fees (if you arrive late for your appointment, reducing the service time available)

Exceptions to the Refund Policy

We understand that exceptional circumstances can occur. In cases of serious illness, bereavement, or other significant emergencies, we may consider exceptions to our standard refund policy on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation may be requested in these situations.

Force majeure events (such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions) that prevent us from providing services or you from receiving them will be handled individually, typically offering rescheduling options without penalties.

Dispute Resolution

If you are dissatisfied with our decision regarding your refund request, please contact our management team to discuss your concerns. We aim to resolve all disputes amicably and fairly.

If we cannot reach a mutually satisfactory resolution, you may have rights to pursue the matter through consumer protection agencies or alternative dispute resolution mechanisms as provided by UK law.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
